Imeachtaí Sheachtain na Gaeilge 2013

Tharla arís i mbliaina go raibh Seachtain na Gaeilge thar cionn again i gColáiste de hÍde.Bhí imeachtaí den scoth againn ó Chéilí le bliain a hAon agus dó, Seó Tallainne, Comórtas Ealaíne, is Tráth na gCeist.
The events for Seachtain na Gaeilge at Coláiste de hÍde were a huge success this year with the highlights being the annual talent show, the whole-school table quiz and a surprise visit from Irish music star and proud gaeilgóir Danny O’ Reilly. On this evidence, the Irish language is indeed alive and well in Dublin 24!!

Cuairt Danny Ó Reilly 2013 (The Coronas)
Ar an Aoine 8 Márta 2013, tháinig réalt mór amhránaíochta Danny Ó Reilly(The Coronas) ar chuairt chuig Coláiste de hÍde.Ghlac Danny páirt i gceolchoirm Coláiste de hÍde agus bhain sé agus gach a raibh ann an-taitneamh as. Bhí gach duine ar bís faoi.Chan Danny ceithre amhrán, go léir as gaeilge! .Shínigh sé a ainm do na daltaí agus chaith sé uair a chloig linn sa scoil.

The students of Colaiste de hÍde will not forget the visit of singing star Danny Ó Reilly of the Coronas to the College on the 8th March 2013. Danny took part in the school concert

by performing some of his best known songs as gaeilge! He then took the time to converse with the students in Irish and have pictures taken with them. Everyone at Coláiste de hÍde extend their thanks to Danny, who represents an excellent role model for all young people.

Seó Tallainne 2013: Coláiste de hÍde

Ná labhair faoin “X – Factor”, “You’re a Star” ná “Voice of Ireland”;tá an tallainn go léir i gColáiste de hÍde. Bhailigh an scoil ar fad sa halla chun cluaséisteachta a thabhairt do 18 acht idir ceoltóirí agus amhránaithe damhsóirí agus aisteoirí. A léithéid de thaispeántaisí ar an stáitse. Rinne Deiric Mac AnBhaird “fear an tí”. Níor thiontaigh Cheryl Cole nó Simon Cowell suas, mar sin rinne Evelyn Ní Raghail, Isabel Nic An Fhaillí, Daithí Ó Murchúagus Jody Ó Gallchóir an moltóirecht.. Tháinig an réalt “Voice of Ireland 2012” Thamhlachta, iardhalta Caoimhín Ó Caollaí (Kevin Keeley). Bhuaigh Caoimhín agus a dheartháir Bobby an seó i 2011agus féach cá bhfuil sé anois!!!
Táimid an-bhródúil as Caoimhín agus mar is gnáth chan sé amhrán álainn dúinn. Bhain gach duine an-taitneamh as an seó agus comhghairdeas do chách a ghlac páirt ann. Comhghairdeas ach go háirithe do na buaiteoirí (buaiteoirí Scléip uile Éireann 2013 chomh maith) agus amhránaí Aoife Nic Artáin agus Rosie Allemby a tháinig sa dara áit.
Some of Tallaght’s finest young singer-songwriters, musicians and dancers took to the stage last Thursday in Coláiste de hÍde’s annual talent show. The competition, which is a part of their Seachtain na Gaeilge celebrations, has gone from strength to strength each year since beginning in 2009. All songs and acts were written and performed through the medium of the Irish language. Previous winner and former student Kevin Keely, from RTE’s The Voice 2012, returned as a guest performer on the day and he was in good company. This year’s winners were Sinéad Ní Bhuachalla, Áine Polóc and Ian Báille with a modern Irish dance and drum routine (also National Scléip Champions 2013) and song-writer Aoife Nic Artáin and Rosie Allemby on guitar were a close second on the day.

Tráth na gCeist agus Céilí : Coláiste de hÍde 2013

Bhí Tráth na gCeist uile scoile againn arís i mbliana, eagraithe ag Isabel Nic an Fhaillí le cabhair ó bhliain a ceathair agus buaite ag foireann ó bhliain a cúig . A léthéid de hócáid nach raibh riamh le féiceáil i gColáiste de hÍde nuair a bhailigh breis is 300 dalta ó bhlianta a haon go sé i gcomhair comórtas ollmhór i halla an Choláiste.Le cabhair múinteoirí na scoile agus faoi stiúir “bean an tí” Isabel, bhain cách lán aoibhneas as na ceisteanna.

A whole school Table Quiz took place in the school hall which proved a huge success for the third year in a row.
D’eagraigh Evelyn Ní Raghaill and Deiric Mac an Bhaird céilí mór iontach i halla na scoile i gcomhair bliain a haon a dó. Chabhraigh chinnirí bliain 5 agus muinteoirí ar an lá.
A monster Céilí was enjoyed by first and second years who took part in the set dances on the day.
