An Idirbhliain (TY)
Cuireadh tús spleodrach leis an Idirbhliain le turas neartú foirne chuig ÁthLuain. Bhreathnaíomar go hiontach sna wetsuits agus muid ag rámhaíocht ar fud Loch Rí. Fliuch báite ach sona sásta. Thug dream ealaíonta faoi cheardlann ar Ardchrosa na hÉireann i mBeairicí Uí Choiléain tar éis torthaí an TS a fháil – comhghairdeas mór libh ar fad
Thug na Gardaí caint iontach dúinn faoi shaol an Gharda Pobail. Suimiúil. Thug Dolores an-chabhair dúinn conas muid féin a chur in iúl do phost, rud atá iontach agus an taithí oibre ag teacht suas an tseachtain seo. Tá an gáirdín faoi smacht arís tar éis saoire an tsamhraidh – neart ag fás = neart oibre! Bhauileamar an Clog do Chomhdháil Chorp Chríost ullamh agus ansin thógamar suas chuig Séipéal N. Aonghusa. Thug an tráthnóna cairdis deis dúinn aithne a chur ar bhliain1. Grúpa an-deas. Samhlaigh bhíomar chomh hóg sin tráth.
Neart nuachta eile le teacht an mhí seo chugainn!
We started the year with a great splash in Hodson Bay rowing around Lough Ree in canoes, curraghs and rafts in fetching wetsuits. Drenched but deadly fun. An artistic crowd of us did a workshop on the High Crosses of Ireland in Collins Barracks – fair play to those who turned up the day after the Junior Cert results came out. Congratulations all around on the results.
The Community Guard came in and enlightened us on his role in the community and the Gardaí in general. Very Interesting. Dolores came in to groom us for the world of work, which was very interesting as work experience starts next week. The Garden also got a grooming after a long summer. Lots of work to do there. We had the opportunity to ring the actual bell for the Eucharistic Congress 2012 and then brought it up to St Aonghus’s church. The Friendship Afternoon with the First Years was a great success. Good to get to know them and who can believe we were that young once.
Lots more news next time!
